Smart Growth USA supports the

Stone Bank:

The State Historical Society awarded us a $28,500 matching grant to enclose the back of the building. Help us match the grant and get the walls up and roof on!

Restoring a Main St. Landmark

Bottineau County Bank – built in 1900 of stones carried by glaciers and shaped by pioneer hands – is a Main Street fixture in Bottineau, N.D. Now known as the Stone Bank, the building began to show its age and was near condemnation in 2011. We formed a nonprofit, bought the building, disassembled its back to repair the foundation. Now we're ready to put it together again with handicap accessibility and a sturdy frame. We plan to enclose the back in fall 2020 with support from donors like you. Ready to give? Details at right. Preservation ROCKS!
